Trail · ages 7–9
Usually ages 7–8 · Topics follow the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics
Second grade builds speed and place value. The Common Core expects children to know sums of two one-digit numbers from memory, add and subtract within 100 fluently, understand three-digit numbers, tell time to the nearest five minutes and solve money problems.
Number Quest's Trail (ages 7–9) practices these in short rounds: addition, subtraction, missing numbers, reading the clock, time facts and money, with times tables ready when your child is.
