Year 3 starts lower Key Stage 2. The national curriculum asks children to work with three-digit numbers, add and subtract in columns, recall the 3, 4 and 8 times tables, and tell the time to the nearest minute, including Roman numerals and 24-hour clocks.

Number Quest's Trail (ages 7–9) practises addition, subtraction, times tables, missing numbers, reading the clock and time problems in short rounds.
