Trail trail · ages 7–9

Free math games for 9-year-olds

By nine, children are expected to know their times tables up to 10 × 10 quickly and to use them in harder problems. Mental arithmetic, time and money all start to appear in word problems, so speed and accuracy go hand in hand.

The Trail in Number Quest is ideal for building that fluency, and when they are ready the Climbers trail (ages 10 to 12) introduces fractions, decimals and percent. They can switch trails at any time.
