Sprouts trail · ages 5–6

Free math games for 6-year-olds

Six-year-olds are usually moving from counting one by one to seeing small groups at a glance and starting to add. They are also getting confident with shapes and with spotting what comes next in a pattern.

The Sprouts trail in Number Quest mixes all of these in short rounds. Quest mode gives ten questions and three hearts, Number Pop turns sums into bubbles to tap, and Practice lets them stay on one skill, such as little sums, for as long as they like.

Tips for parents and teachers

  • Let them choose the mode. Number Pop is a great reward after a Quest.
  • When a sum is hard, ask them to count the dots in both groups out loud.
  • Build a buddy together and aim for the party hat at a 3-day streak.
  • Keep sessions short: the 5-minute daily goal is plenty at this age.
