Clock time practice for ages 10–12

Older children move on to reading any minute on the clock and working out elapsed time, which comes up constantly in timetables and word problems.

Number Quest shows an analog clock and asks for the exact time, or the time a number of minutes later, with an explanation after each answer.

No sign-up, no ads. Works in any browser.

What the questions practise

  • Reading any minute on an analog clock
  • Adding minutes across the hour
  • 12-hour digital times

  • Count in fives, then add the small ticks.
  • Add minutes up to the next hour first, then the rest.
  • Use real timetables for extra practice.
